A bobbin dining chair in the late-17th-century English revival manner — the back uprights, seat rails, stretchers and legs all formed from turned bobbin sections (repeating ring-and-ball), a simple caned seat, no upholstery. Finish: honey-wax oak, warm amber, soft matte.
Every frame member individually hand-turned on the lathe in a continuous bobbin profile, hand-caned seat, mortise-and-tenon, dowel-pegged. Editorial European interior — lime-washed plaster, stone floor. Dimensions: approximately 440 mm wide × 440 mm deep × 900 mm high. Seat height 450 mm. Solid oak, honey-wax finish, natural cane seat.
Caning, rope, plank, spindle — four ways a back can hold a body. We build all four.
Each piece leaves the bench once. Name the stain in your letter — we will finish the wood to your room and write again when it ships, with the name of the joiner who built it.
