No. 44  ·  Dining chair

Cross Back Bleached Oak.

A French-provincial cross-back (X-back) dining chair — oak frame with a prominent X-shaped back splat formed by two crossed shaped stretchers, a woven rush seat, turned tapered legs joined by a box stretcher. Finish: bleached-bone oak, pale chalky ivory tone, matte.

Hand-shaped X-stretchers, pegged mortise-and-tenon, hand-woven natural rush seat, no exposed metal. Editorial European interior — lime-washed plaster, terracotta flagstone, raking light. Dimensions: approximately 460 mm wide × 460 mm deep × 960 mm high. Seat height 450 mm. Solid oak, bleached finish.

An accent chair works against a library wall or a corner, never in a pair.
